The advantages of wool blankets are good elasticity, not easy to deform, not easy to wear, good heat insulation, durable, soft and comfortable. The disadvantage is that it is not corrosion-resistant and expensive.

The advantages of nylon blankets are good wear resistance, easy cleaning, no corrosion, no moth-eaten, no mildew, and good hygroscopicity. The disadvantage is that the ventilation is poor, does not absorb sweat, is easy to generate static electricity, is easy to get dust and is not easy to take care of, is easy to deform, and will partially dissolve in case of fire.

The advantages of acrylic blankets are soft and fluffy, rich in color, not afraid of insects, mildew, corrosion, warmth, and good elasticity. The disadvantage is poor wear resistance.

The advantages of polyester blankets are high strength, good elasticity, durability, wrinkle resistance, heat resistance, good wear resistance, no moth-eaten, no mildew, and it is easy to dry and not change after washing. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to dye, poor hygroscopicity, easy to carry static electricity, easy to get dust and hair, and easy to feel stuffy when covered.

Second, the maintenance skills of blankets

Air-dry wool blankets regularly. Wool blankets that are placed in the shade for a long time will become moldy, so they should be taken out to dry when the sun is strong, which can not only prevent mold, but also sterilize.

Try to avoid putting together sharp objects. Wool blankets should not be stacked with sharp, rough items, as this will spoil the blanket.

Avoid exposing the blanket to the sun. When drying the blanket, let two bamboo poles stand in parallel, then put the blanket on top, and put it in a cool place to dry slowly. Try to avoid direct exposure to the sun, otherwise the blanket will easily fade and deform.

Store after drying. Blankets should also be dried before storage. Put a few moth balls wrapped in paper in the folded blanket, wrap it in a plastic bag, seal it, and place it in a dry cabinet.

Moisture-proof. Blankets should be protected from moisture to avoid mildew.

Blankets of different materials have different advantages and disadvantages, and different maintenance techniques. Therefore, before maintaining the blanket, you must first figure out the material of the blanket, and then use the correct maintenance skills to maintain it, in order to prolong its service life.
